"I love working with Katey. The thing about Katey and I is that we love each other. She’s the sweetest, most generous, warmest person in the world. She bares a little bit of resemblance to Gemma in that she’s a very fierce mother figure and she’s always very maternal and sisterly towards me so when we have these scenes together— I guess the baseline is kinda "love" between us and then we get to peel away all the niceness and get to the nitty gritty which is what makes those scenes fun. It takes a little while to get there with her [laughs] because we feel so warmly. We certainly have our days where we walk in and we’re like "I don’t know how we’re gonna do this. We hate each other so much." But we get around to it and it’s always a lot of fun. That’s the thing about acting, even when you’re enacting these horrible things, it’s quite fun, especially if you like the people you’re working with." - Maggie Siff on working with Katey Sagal on Sons of Anarchy [x]
“‘You cannot sit in this chair without being a savage.’ Very emotional scene. And, I gotta say Charlie Hunnam is brilliant in it right now. That stuff just came out of him without any assistance from me. He knows where he is, he knows where Jax is at this point. Very close to the bone to Charlie. Very accessible. … And it was a fantastic scene, it’s one of the most beautiful scenes I’ve ever been a part of ever, acting or directing. And that’s saying a lot after 1500 movies or something.”
